Emergent Poise

The Pratt Institute MFA Class of 2020 is proud to share our group curatorial project, Emergent Poise. As COVID-19 descended on NYC, our final thesis year was abruptly dismantled just as our thesis shows were about to debut. All shows were cancelled, and as a cohort we had to withdraw from our studios and shelter in place, along with the community at large.

As this new reality settled in, we adjusted our approach, found new spaces and working methods, and persevered through the disappointment and heartache. We found our focus sharpened and distilled, remaining poised to make our next move. We are proud to share this exhibition of thesis work and beyond, demonstrating our individual practices and responses to this new emergent world.

This is a website designed for a group of Emerging Artists' exhibitions

As pandemic hit on 2020, our thesis exhibition was canceled. when everything came to a better situation, a group of artists curated a series of exhibitions in Long Island City and Lower Manhattan. This is a website designed for information and virtual exhibitions to capture these exhibitions.

Virtual Gallery

During the pandemic, Virtual Events became very popular for the visitors to participate. therefore, we created this virtual gallery for the audience to experience our exhibitions.

In order to create contactless experience, we use QR code to create interaction between the audience and the artworks. The audience could use their phone to scan the QR code to receive information about the exhibitions, and the cv/inventory about the artists and their works.
